Choosing a Managed Service Provider (MSP) to run your organization’s IT systems in the Azure cloud is a big decision.

An enterprise-class MSP will also make it easy for you to oversee your systems. They should provide easy ways to monitor your systems, view alerts, and see compliance analysis about your cloud and on-premises environments.
These tools will enable faster, friction-less, more secure IT. And they’ll free up your IT team for work they’d rather be doing.
2. Deep expertise
It takes plenty of expertise to run an Azure environment well.
Only skilled technicians can build an automation and self-service framework and integrate it tightly with your environment.

And don’t forget the skills required for ongoing configuration and management.
Look at the qualifications of the MSP’s technical team for indications that they‘re up to these tasks. Do they specialise in managing enterprise platforms, such as Oracle and SAP? Do they have DevOps experience?
Also look for internationally recognized security, procurement and service standard certifications which show that the MSP meets industry baselines.
3. Enterprise experience
The longer an MSP has worked with enterprise clients, the more understanding it should have about how to meet their needs.
So, look at whether the MSP has a track record of success managing legacy and hybrid IT. Is it trusted by high profile organisations with complex IT environments?
4. Scale and financial resources
Providing enterprise-class cloud services requires significant resources – just look at what it takes to build and integrate an Azure automation framework.
It also takes a large team to maintain thousands of VMs for multiple customers. And keeping up with cybersecurity threats requires a properly resourced security division.
Also look at whether the MSP has an ongoing technological development program.
